National Indigenous Peoples Day with Maniwaki Native Friendship Centre
To mark National Indigenous Peoples Day, The Maniwaki Native Friendship Centre – Gatineau partnered with the First Peoples Innovation Centre to hold a celebration at Place Laval, in Hull, QC.
This day holds deep significance as a time to recognize and honour the cultures, traditions, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples across Turtle Island. We were grateful to be alongside Elders, traditional drummers, singers, artists, and our friend Akina Ohlman to carry the spirit of the day
We'd like to thank Maniwaki NFC, FPIC, the City of Gatineau and Heritage Canada, and everyone who joined us to learn and celebrate our Peoples.
