As winter settles in, many of us pause to reflect, rest, and reconnect. The Winter Solstice marks an important turning point—the shortest day and longest night of the year. It reminds us that even in darkness, light always returns. It’s a time to slow down, be with family, share stories, and give thanks for what carried us through the year.
Christmas Party Fun
We had so much fun celebrating culture with the next generation of jiggers! By mentoring Métis youth, we are not only showing steps or traditions, but also motivating our youth to feel a deeper connection to our culture and to the traditions of our ancestors.
Dancing, Fundraising, and Community at MNC's 2025 AGA
We were honoured to attend the Métis National Council’s 2025 Annual General Assembly in Ottawa as both vendors and performers. Being invited into this space, alongside Métis leadership, citizens, and community members from across the homeland, meant a great deal to us.
Indigenous Women’s Arts Conference 2025
We were pleased to be invited to the Indigenous Women’s Arts Conference 2025 as both performers and vendors. Hosted by the Indigenous Arts Collective, this annual gathering brings together Indigenous women from urban, rural, and on- and off-reserve communities to share art, culture, and knowledge. Since 2019, the conference has welcomed over 1,000 visitors and supported dozens of Indigenous artists and facilitators. Being part of this space felt meaningful and grounding.
Celebrating Culture & Connection: Our Night at the 2025 National Indigenous Sports Gala
We were honoured to attend the 2025 National Indigenous Sports Gala hosted by the Aboriginal Sport Circle. The gala brought together athletes, leaders, Elders, and community members from across Turtle Island to celebrate 30 years of Indigenous excellence in sport. Being part of that energy felt powerful and welcoming.
